We finally all made it to the Pumpkin Patch to pick out our pumpkins! Let me tell you, it was slim pickins and we will never wait this long to pick them out! The boys all love it out there and think it is pretty special that they are able to choose their very own pumpkin to carve.
This is the 2nd year that we have had Nick’s party at our local Pumpkin Patch. All of the kids wear costumes and run in the mazes! This year they had pumpkin relays and played a fun game of leading the blind in a hay maze!
They also listened to a story and learned about all kinds of pumpkins! The kids had a fun craft to make! Each child made a turkey pumpkin and took it home! How fun for them!!
I can’t wait to plan his party again next year!!! :)
Saturday afternoon I took Alex, Nick, and Jacob to the Harvest Festival here in town. It was great fun for the boys. They had inflatable's, face painting, a maze and hay rides! The weather was perfect for the outdoor festival.
We had to take a shuttle bus to the park where it was held. It has been many many years since I have been on a school bus! What a weird feeling! My kids love to ride on the bus, because we live so close to their school that I drive them, ride bikes, or walk. Little do they know when high school rolls around they will not be so excited about riding the bus!
The boys love the inflatable’s!! They could have spent the whole day on these! As you can see, Alex likes to “ski” down the slide, which isn’t always the safest way down!
All 3 boys chose Jack-o-lanterns to have pained on their faces! Alex pretty much knows the life story of the lady who painted his face, because he asked her 203,359,205 questions! But that’s Alex!!
They had tents of carnival games for all of the kids. The boys had fun fishing for candy, playing darts, shuffle board, bean bag toss, and the duck game! The prizes were candy of course!
The SWAT team had a table set up and of course my boys were all about it! They were so nice and patient with them and all of the questions that they had! I think Alex found himself a whole new career!! He is now very knowledgeable about everything that the SWAT team uses!!!
I bought all of the boys a container to fill with sand. They had 10 different colors to choose from and the boys were able to fill their containers however they chose to! They enjoyed the day!
Scott was able to meet us up there for a while! Here is is with one of his favorite boys on the bus back to the car!!

Scott and I took Mason to the Pumpkin Patch the other night and he loved it! He ran around and played with them. He called them "punks". He climbed around in the hay maze and we also made our way through the big maze. We enjoy taking the boys here every year. I also have Nick's birthday parties here! It is great! Scott makes so much fun of me for taking my camera everywhere we go, but how can you not take it to the pumpkin patch with all of the beautiful fall colors! This is definatly my favorite season!!So this year I was super sick again with the Flu on my birthday! This is the 2nd year in a row I have been sick. So I have come to the conclusion that I literally get ill growing older! Next year the big 3-0 will be brutal!
I received so many birthday wishes! It was great!
My wonderful friends and neighbors the Archer’s brought me this cake from McDonalds! Did you know you can get cake there? I didn’t!!
My parents sent me this beautiful flower arrangement! Love my parents!!
My husband and the boys gave me a super wonderful gift!! I am an avid reader! I am always reading a book or 2.
